Date: 13 January 2025 @ 09:00 - 14:45
Timezone: Amsterdam
Are you a researcher with no to some programming experience? Like to be more efficient and productive? Learn the Python programming language!
A three-day intensive introduction organized by RSM Research Software Engineering & Consulting (RSEC), Future Library Lab, and EUR Data Stewards.
@ Yuliya Pauliukevich - Vecteezy.com
You can sign up for the following groups:
The “no to some experience” group. In this group you will be taken through the ins and outs of Python code. Not only is Python an easy programming language to read and understand, but it also has a vast number of practical applications which can be used from the social sciences to economics to humanities. Furthermore, the skills you learn in this course are transferable to other programming languages.
The “experienced” group. You will dive deeper into what Python has to offer. You will gain hands-on experience with Python by working on 'real world' problems such as file manipulation and data analysis. If you have basic knowledge of programming or have experience with R, SQL, or STATA the experienced group is for you.
You will also be able to switch between the two groups if you find that your experience with Python is more suited to the other group.
