Do you often encounter messy and inconsistent tabular datasets and wonder how to make them more useable? Then OpenRefine may be a handy tool for you.

During this three-hour workshop, you will learn about the different functionalities of this free, open-source data wrangling tool, to help you:

  • Clean your (inconsistent/messy/badly structured) data.
  • Transform your data to generate new values.
  • Enrich your data with information from external sources.
  • Automate these steps for repeated use.

This will be a hands-on workshop with plenty of opportunity to try out the different functionalities of OpenRefine.

The workshop will be held in English (unless all participants are Dutch speakers).

Location: Central Library, Erasmuslaan 36 (details will follow at a later time).
