This workshop will cover the the basics of digital mapping. It will discuss the core principles underlying geo-spatial visualisations, together with some of the data formats and software applications that are commonly used in this field. During the workshop, participants will learn how to create digital and interactive maps using Leaflet, an open source Javascript library. The workshop, more specifically, will demonstrate the use of base maps, layers and control elements.

The workshop will take place at the Digital Humanities Lab (P.J. Veth Building, room 1.07), on Wednesday 20 September from 10:00 to 13:00, and again on Friday 24 November, from 10:00 to 13:00. To register, please send an e-mail to [email protected]
